Our NGO Pastoralist Alliance for Resilience and Adaptation in Northern Rangelands (PARAN) is helping improve empowerment and resilience of pastoralist communities in northern Kenya. Despite the harsh environment, these communities have a great deal of traditional knowledge about how to live off the land. However, they often lack the resources and support needed to stay resilient in the face of drought, conflict, and other challenges. PARAN is working to change this by providing training and resources that help pastoralists build their capacity to adapt and thrive. We are also working with other NGOs and partners to advocate for policies that support pastoralist livelihoods. By empowerin these communities, we are helps build a more stable and prosperous future for all of Kenya.
